Host Your Party at the Club
Treat yourself and your friends or family to a party, a birthday, a wedding, an anniversary, Giants tailgate or just to return some hospitality! That’s right, members may book the Club for their parties.
Your Club is the perfect place for a party, as the accompanying photos of past events show. It can accommodate small parties, as well as large functions of up to 120 guests. The facilities include:
You may prepare your food yourself, do a potluck or hire a caterer. You may decorate the Club if you wish, including flowers and table arrangements, within established guidelines. The Club is quite flexible when it comes to times of availability and special requests, including beverage requests. Your desires should be discussed in advance with the Rear Commodore, so you can tailor the event to your needs.
The Club will clean up after the event; however, you are responsible for cleanup during the event and for kitchen/galley cleanup and removal of decorations. The Club can arrange for assistance during an event at a nominal additional cost.
There is one very important requirement of which you should be aware: the Member hosting the party must be present at the party. In addition, under the rules of Membership, the Club can never be closed to Members. Thus, while the layout of the Club affords a measure of privacy, there is always the possibility that other Members may be present.
The cost to have a party at the Club is $275. In addition, a $250 refundable security deposit is required at the time of booking. Applications for the Use of the Club are available at the Club, and must be submitted to and approved by the Rear Commodore. So, come on down to your Club and LET’S HAVE A PARTY!
Important Conservation Note:
The Club participates in the City of San Francisco's trash recycling and composting program. As a party giver you are requested to encourage your food preparers and guests to comply with the requirements of the program. Briefly, the BLUE bins are for recyclables such as cans, bottles, and aluminum foil. The GREEN bins are for compostables such as food scraps, soiled paper plates, paper food containers and the Club's compostable drink cups. All other items go into the BLACK bins, especially plastic bags and styrofoam packaging. To insure compliance, party givers are not permitted to bring into the Club non-compostable plastic or styrofoam plates, cups or eating utensils.
